this is the UK 2017

you all know I am trying my best to do so much with what life I biologically have left on this earth.... even still studying on online courses and helping to challenge where there is pain and help rebuild lives that have been shattered and scattered by war..... so I am well and truly peed off with this letter from the DWP ... the London Borough of Hillingdon is hell bent on getting council tax from the house where I was attacked ... and the present OAP bungalow despite me being on ESA £55 a week and paying rent cap... with only just short of £65 a MONTH NHS pension... I am denied my state pension till 2020 when I am 66yrs if not died of starvation in the meantime....!!! My first job and tax with NI contributions was in Nov 1969.....WHAT IS WITH THIS GOVERNMENT it is like we are being deliberately starved to death..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ALL I NEED IS FINANCIAL DIGNITY - a dignity that was robbed from me by a criminal perpetrator in my life that broke my arm and my heart and left me for rubbish penniless.....This should NOT be happening to women with history of domestic violence and post traumatic stress.... it is not the society I want my motherland to be.. A society without compassion ceases to be a society...!!

Voice Heard today

Good morning at the Kings Place business meeting for the DVIP... was able to present my powerpoint pitch on the Healing and Empowering Women weekend..

Together we were looking at options for moving forward with the idea and the need that I was presenting.

Women's voices heard and we will win to reach the stage we all need of regaining dignity and reconnecting with self and to be empowered as the amazing survivors we are...

Love the venue so welcomed by staff and the venue is rather inspiring too....

Good that the venue was near Kings X station as was able to nip up to Uxbridge on the metro line to the Wednesday women's group for the afternoon session. There was disappointment in the group at the loss of the plans to be at Brunel Spa Hotel but loads of positive energy that we will heal together and in fun ways.... The afternoon was lows but amazing highs with some therapeutic laughter to buffer all the crap we have been through... Sorry to be crude but our poor choice of fellas and their perpetrator horrid darkness makes it sometimes difficult to find the vocabulary to express in any other way.

The venue for the morning meeting at Kings Place had some interesting artwork but was rather apt to find this work...

My goodness readers and world we have are amazing to have survived all we have been through... We do need the support just to get the full healing and empowerment.  It is good to support one another and share.. The group sessions are useful...But Mind, Body & Spirit healing workshops will be great to help us restore the amazing Goddess within ourselves.  Most of all we need respect for the fact we are survivors..and be valued for this...

petition update today

Why roses on the post...you ask? it is a little trick I have learnt from my Syrian refugees that teach me to buffer pain and the ugliness of abuse with flowers.... The beauty is to remind us all of a power Greater than us All ...

Here is todays petition update:
21 AUG 2017 — Thank you for the additional signatures I do appreciate this and hope to be meeting with John McDonnell my MP soon to present the petition officially and discuss the whole matter.
You will be seeing reports in the papers of the growing poverty and destitution in the UK from the very badly and quite frankly inhumane DWP policies..... People in need of help being left with no money for weeks - 6-8weeks. This is dangerous for women to fall into this lack of support. To be faced with no money, no food, no means to pay bills and no way to be able to rebuild her life after the abuse is utterly appalling. It is well know that part of the perpetrators character behaviour is to leave his victim penniless.... so a woman can have gone from successful career woman to being reliant on welfare for support. Welfare she has paid tax into I must stress and remind all.... You say well go back to work to the women... it is not a easy as that... she has to work through all the psych-social pain of the repeated attacks upon her whole being... She has to be ready to cope with the job market and the work place as we all know their are bully characters in the work area... and she has been living with a bully and is suffering the emotional scars from this....BUT give women financial dignity to heal and empower and she can get her life back on track and be an amazingly strong woman that has survived the journey to restoration and well being.......
But how can she do this with a system that keeps letting her down and becomes politically and socially abusive to her... I feel for the women with children too that need to hold their family together through the journey of the detoxing from the ugliness of violence upon her.

Some quotes from newpapers for you now:
"Destitution is showing up in the data too. A recent Oxford University study carried out for the Trussell Trust found that 80% of people using food banks were severely food insecure, meaning they regularly went whole days without food. Average household income for this group was £319 a month; one in six reported no money coming in at all over the previous four weeks" ref: https://www.theguardian.com/society/2017/jul/03/desititution-ignore-welfare-cuts
MY NOTE: remember those on benefits have to pay a portion to housing benefit cap; council tax and still pay fuel bills and food and clothing.... the equation simply does not balance out does it?

"Alison Garnham, CPAG’s chief executive, said: “With the return of inflation, the benefits freeze has become toxic for struggling families. Rather than prioritising tax cuts, which help the better-off, the chancellor should use the autumn budget to invest in helping families with children. Ending the benefits freeze should be the first step he takes to rebalance the finances of ordinary families.”..." ref: https://www.theguardian.com/society/2017/aug/21/philip-hammond-urged-to-use-budget-to-help-low-income-families
MY NOTE:
Can you see that women survivors of domestic violence need a strong and stable pathway of support to cope with all trauma healing and need a protection from government failings....

Mission in Life

Women together

Been a day of women in pain coming together and helping one another.  But it is so incredibly worrying as the UK falls more and more into social problems and lack of housing - that women that need support are being lost in the increasing demands. This cannot happen as to UN directives there is a State Duty of Care to women that have been subjected to violence in war and peace time.

Following all the trauma and need for healing she needs a safe, stable sacred space to be in.  We have problems with private landlords and the housing benefit failings, lack of social housing and social support failing as the demands in society increase. The DWP benefits dropping when women need this helping hand on the pathway of healing.  The stress from drops of support lead to more mental and physical problems, so this compounds issues... But has the failings occur it is so important for women to come together in hope and help to overcome the fear and the stress of all the challenges in the life rebuilding... Women's unified voices need to be heard...
Help me to help those voices be loud and clear with my petition and my appeal to help women Many thanks Marjorie

strong and stable pathway

There is a real need for a clear pathway of support ... with all agencies connecting ... you can see from this linear pathway that my planned weekend of healing and empowerment was for the mid to point B not the early stage of the abuse. The stage at A is confusion and pain and unable to think straight - utter turmoil... and I can see the local council have put together a reach out help webpage but often you are not able to have the energy nor the impetus to be proactive at this stage as you are raw in the changes that are occurring. This may sound crazy but you will also grieve for him gone... you grieve for the better times the time of the love that once was there be it now illusionary and controlling in nature. There are so many emotions and feelings whirling around along with the pain of all that has been done to your whole being.

I put this slide together last year when I was getting battered with drops in DWP support.  Compounded by not be able to get my State Pension being over 60yrs not not old enough for the new 66yrs criteria... After giving much thought and listening to all the work being done by groups and agencies in the Saving Lives conference it became apparent that there needed communication link ups.  It was also worrying that funding was an issue to keep the continuity... we have had proclamation that monies are available but it is not being seen on the frontline... we need accounts on this surely?

Some women moving geographically to another part of the country or next county can have breaks in support.   Women that do not attend GP or DWP appointments should not be dismissed as OK or sanctioned.. it is important for a befriending scheme to check on her.... she may be depressed or worse committed suicide. I have on numerous occasions requested to the DWP that files carry and alert on them.. So not to pull out support but keep that support continue but to check on the well being of the woman.

But I am going to point out .. Women should not be getting out of their homes it should be the perpetrator.... She may feel though that a change of home would be good at some point but she must not lose her home. Many women have been cheated by loss of assets from the home with the violent controllers, some may have had property but have lost it to the perpetrator or in long drawn out legal quarrels from their perpetrators - so she may be getting divorced and out of the relationship but his controlling claws are still affecting her life. Women's voices need to be heard....

Post trauma view

These are just a few of the slides I had prepared for the introductory talk to the Healing and Empower Women weekend.  My dear readers of this blog if you would like me to come along and give a talk as an expert by experience and a Graduate Nurse/Midwife practitioner that has worked with women that have been traumatised.  I would be most happy to come and I am sure we will have an interesting time of sharing and learning together.  Note I also help with the post traumatic counselling of Syrian refugees and have a Family Link Up project. I have work in line for publication.  Actually have an older article in the Nursing Journals entitled "Caresses like Feathers, Fists like Iron." this discusses the duality of perpetrator and how he can be incredibly loving and hook her back into the cycle of violence.  That article also was to make employers aware of the unexplained or frequent absences from work.  This is often from women hiding bruises and trying to hid the fact of their abuse. There can be a normalising of the abuse and seeing that they deserve this or that the perpetrator will say "You make me do this"... then is so incredibly remorseful and hyper loving for forgiveness that she stays and the cycle continues.

You can see from this glimmer of slides presentation that the journey of healing is complex after getting out from the danger. There is a lot of work to do to re-connect with the lost self and to find within the strength of the true woman you are.. Empowered and ready to take on the world again and be part of the world to live again.  For this we cannot have failings in financial support as it is so important to have financial dignity back. Until she is ready to return to work and is confident to cope with the inevitable found work bullies she needs supporting.  Women's voices need to be heard......

Much to offer

Healing and Empowering Women
I have put a lot of thought in the planned weekend from listening to other women and their needs. In this from my journey of healing too. My choice of venue being the local university with the lovely womb like Spa hotel.... Deliberately chosen for the inspiration it would give women being on the campus.  A chance to see a way of rebuilding through academic study and fresh career pathway.  I had speakers, counsellors, therapist and other departments in the university to help out in workshops.  I had stylists and beauticians to help with the re-loving self and gaining confidence as the wonderful women we are that are SURVIVORS.... I had some women that have rebuilt their lives that saw this weekend as a way to reach back to other women on the journey and help them.

The weekend was not just for women in the borough but would have been advertised nationally and internationally with social media.

The residential weekend was not for the acute stage but for women that are out of the danger but still suffering from the aftermath.  Psychological and physical trauma and spiritual trauma too as the whole of your being is abused with the constant exposure to the verbal and physical violence. The controlling nature of the perpetrator with the manipulation of your psyche means it is not that straight forward to say "oh you are out of it now move on!" There is a journey of healing, detoxing from the ugliness of violence and regaining confidence...and Be empowered to yes then move on and let go.  There is a need to get the anger and frustration of the inner pain you are in too.  So the workshops were designed to let that out the pain in a creative way.  Because the perpetrator is known in his behaviour to financially cripple his prey... the whole event was to be FREE to the women in need. This was also a consideration to the fact that many women would be on benefits and the failings of the DWP policies to support them fully.

We were seeking good sponsors. In this there was reach out to partner with a charity so that the sponsors could help them in fundraising too.  There were events to come on the campus where we were going to reach out to the students to increase awareness of the whole area of domestic violence and help fund raise for the charity partnered.

It seems somewhat ironical that we as victims of abuse that have had our lives sabotaged that now a proactive and creative way of healing has been sabotaged.  I still feel bewildered why the LBH councillor said advocate for women wanted to sabotage this project without actually seeing the whole format and story.  She has fussed up the situation with her adherence to the what she clearly specialises in the acute phase of the attacks and trauma.  Caused concern in the university when we had not yet present the whole package to the chancellor for final approval... There was more planning and logistics to formulate as with any event.. So this has been squashed when no one other than the speakers and event co-ordinator have seen this full powerpoint... and all the additional thought and plans.

This project was designed for those in the chronic rebuild of their lives stage, still carrying the hurt and the pain. There was no need to think of policing and security as the women to be accepted on this course were to be those out of danger and in rebuild of lives.

I am finding now how much I time and thought and desire to help I have put into this weekend of Healing and Empowerment.  Now I feel adrift and with this woman saboteur not even reaching out to apologise to me..  The way she has done this sabotage is quite worrying to come in on my facebook and invade my social media.... But it was useful her doing this on the open wall for all to see. All my international friends are shocked at the displayed attitude in the dialogue.

The charity management team was to arrange a meeting with me and the event co-ordinator at the end of the month after annual leave.  They were excited at our interest as it coincided with their 25th anniversary and a conference to be presented.  It is very baffling and very worrying that the London Borough of Hillingdon council should take this action to stop me with this project and not see the value of the event being planned. It is a worry that the council feel they can decide for women what they should or should not have???!! Strange you would think they would embrace this with the university to be a model of best practice in helping women rebuild their lives and be empowered.  I know it may be uncomfortable for the Tory led council but the DWP policies have to be challenged to modification to help not fail women. So the petition is ongoing for a nationwide challenge to this need. Women's voices need to be heard..

Understanding Conference

I am a survivor and also a practitioner as a now retired nurse and midwife.  It is in my professional nature to find out more and understand.  So I was privileged to attend a conference on Saving Lives last year.  I was very moved at the care and thought groups and centres around the country were putting in to understanding and supporting women.... I was impressed with other models of care and how to help problem solve the violent behaviour of the perpetrators.
The photo is of a caseogram that a counsellor in Suffolk has put together on two brothers.  This shows how many relationships those brothers had had.... and all the women's lives that had been affected by their violent abuse.
It is so important to follow the UN directives and challenge the unacceptable behaviour of the perpetrators to stop the cycle of violence.  This is why I have much respect for the London based charity DVIP in their work with perpetrators as well as helping the women and the children affected.
Their work involves one to one and group therapy of the perpetrator. Alongside this their victims are counselled separately and helped in their new life of detoxing from the ugliness of violence upon them..

But look at that caseogram how many women have had their lives broken with these two brothers.. and all the support and aftercare and healing they need. It is majorly important we help them by getting government to review the DWP policies as they cannot and must not be in a situation of dropped financial support while they heal and rebuild their lives.

Bob Marley - Get up, stand up 1980

Will and Way

After a lovely meeting on Monday I came home to an interesting development on facebook there was a message from a woman that I thought was asking for details for the weekend Empowerment but it was one of the members of the local council.  She states she is an advocate for women that have undergone DV but was quite brusque on the open wall.  Sometimes folk in work posts for a long time can feel threatened if there are new innovative ideas out on the scene. Rather than embracing the innovation and finding out more, they wish to destroy the perceived threat.  There is a very important point about the open dialogue that was on the wall despite me reminding her that the wall is open to all the international friends... and of course many around the world saw what was happening.  I have kept screen captures and file of the dialogue.  But bless her instead of arranging a meeting to look at the plans for healing and Empowering women weekend she chose to challenge in full view of some friends of mine.  She did realise eventually that she was in full view posting and did delete the dialogue -but it is on file.   It is useful for analysis that there is a continued mistake in the system in that when you talk of DV folk always thinks of the time of the attacks and violence.  But there is more to it than this ... it is the long journey of healing and restoring confidence and love of self and restoring self worth. Detoxing from the ugliness of violence upon oneself. It is recalibrating life and rebuilding to reconnect with the self you feel you have lost and expand on self that was squashed and beaten down by the perpetrator...It is about restoring inner peace in the new life... The way this woman approached me was abrasive and invasive.  She challenged my right and my qualification to put on such an event. Despite me being a graduate nurse and midwife of 38yrs within top teaching hospitals, she was still forging on in her attack of the whole event. But even qualifications are not necessary, women can be proactive to serve their needs among themselves and build such a weekend together.  There is no doubt she has been doing work over the 23yrs in the borough and put together a one stop advice and panic button webpage but when you are in the throes of it all you cannot think straight to look for this... However the weekend was not for the acute phase of the journey but for those further down the line of the journey from 5yrs to 20yrs of recovery. But she has gone to all the trouble to sabotage the weekend plans without discussion face to face with me, she rang the DVIP & the university and now got the whole thing cancelled by her not me or those that need it... Rather similar to controllers... Now I have had women coming to me to say who is she? we have never had any help from her? We have to draw attention to the fact that if she is an advocate on the council why is she allowing the council to harass and threaten eviction of women victims in the borough?

Women have the right to decide for themselves as to what they need to help them! No one has ownership to our lives! That is why we got out of controlling relationships!! Hence the need to empower!

Anyway bas! enough of this as there have been some wonderful meetings this week for me. I am impressed by the young woman that does work for an international woman's charity.  She has a company that would be interested in helping pick up the pieces so women can still have the healing and empowerment.  Wonderful meeting with some dynamic business people that immediately listened and saw a great opportunity to help women rebuild their lives.  Their concern and kindness palpable to help.
Today had a meeting in London.  So wonderful to have time with our Parliamentary staff and security police.  They always take an interest in my activist work both domestic and international.  Will be able to drop of letters to ministers next week to highlight the issues to be addressed for a better pathway of support! But spotted the Votes for Women products... Felt inspired yes the message to keep going, as the women did to win the right to vote. Their voices were heard and they won.

All we are asking for is care compassion by the system to permit us to have our dignity back, our financial dignity and have a strong and stable pathway of healing and empowerment to be the women we are...and rebuild our lives to be able to move on away from the constant tethers of failing systems upon us and those that think they know what is or not best for us!!!  WE are wonderful brave women that have cheated death so many times with the attacks upon our being.  We do not deserve a system or a local council that continues to batter us with drops in support, threatens us with bailiffs and evictions for council tax or rent or any support services... We we do not need an advocate that snoops and is brusque is challenging and sabotaging to our fundamental right to healing and empowerment. So grateful to the friends that support me and keep me strong. InshAllah we will win and move on to new pastures to rebuild.  But thank you to the lady for sharing her rather interesting approach to the issue it was enlightening to all that witnessed it. It makes for a continued need for a complete review of understanding and needs...Most certainly the review of the DWP policies that are failing so many with drops in support for those in need of some help.  We also need a review of the State Pension for those women that are now over 60yrs and survivors of DV.   Thank you for those that are seeing the whole story and understanding to sign the petition.

No matter the challenges to plans and to our lives,
women will come together in love and care for one another

Plans developing for Empowering

Yes a focus on the future.  Had a brilliant morning meeting with Seb from the Brunel University.  Good place to meet up in the Spa Hotel to discuss the planning of the residential weekend to help Heal and Empower Women survivors of violence and abuse against them.

I was able to sample the lunch today in the restaurant from the kindness of a friend to me.  It was wonderful too.  Lovely chargrilled chicken in a lime and coconut sauce with rice... and a self service as much as you want salad to go with it.... I feel I can think clearly now with that lovely nutritious food in me.  Now got lots of planning to do with schedule, emails and booking form and assessment of needs. We have no exact date but likely to be in October to link up with the anniversary of the charity we are forming a partnership with -  the DVIP.... Domestic Violence Intervention Programme. http://dvip.org/

If you want to get involved with the Residential weekend then get in touch with me..... marjoriebahhaj@gmail.com. or chat on facebook. If you are a woman that needs this weekend to Heal and Empower, or if you are a therapist that works with trauma healing, or if you feel you have something to offer in some way to help, then I am happy to take your details.  This weekend will be a pilot scheme for more workshops and courses to develop. So we can build a directory of therapist and counsellors that wish to help. Together we can rebuild lives and focus on a future of empowerment.

Women's Voices being heard see stats!!

Just been checking my visitor stats to the blog for the Women's voices to be heard.. Voices loud and clear in the nation and global by the looks... this is just a view of this side of the Atlantic we have followers over in the states too.... Thanks to the visitors from Sweden, Turkey and Europe...It is good for the world to see that the UK government does not get its management correct for all its citizens. Women survivors of Domestic Violence are being seriously and dangerously let down by the quite cruel written DWP = Dept of Work & Pensions policies, that see women without support for periods of time up to 8 weeks ... the resulting chaos and bailiffs hassle from said debts - that are really systems failure debts could lead to her death from 1. return to perpetrator and next beating be her murder or 2. from suicide in the post traumatic depression she is in.

We need a strong and stable pathway of support to help heal and rebuild women's lives ... not one that augments the pain she is in.  This is a gross failing of State Duty of Care to the UN directives on care for women that have experienced violence upon them in war and peace time.

The petition signatures are 105 to this morning so lets keep going over the summer recess of parliament.... Then John McDonnell my MP can raise this concern and need to amend DWP policies to protect and care for women

And please where is the £20 million that government said they were putting into helping women that have suffered domestic violence... as there is NO EVIDENCE of this on the front-line....

Front-line letter today

This morning I had weetabix for breakfast from the foodbank stock I was given!
This is an example of what is happening on the front-line with those that have an history of domestic violence upon them and mental pain from that abuse.  I live in one of the most wealthy boroughs that of London Borough of Hillingdon its wealth generated by land prices, by business, by a wealthy class particularly in the north of the borough.  We have the Heathrow airport and we have had increased homes built with some quite swish apartments that are generating council tax and making a thriving economy from private ownership and wealthy landlords.
Do note they have spent £2 million on the refurbishments of high streets in the borough!

Yet we have some horrendous poverty from those that are needing help but are not getting the help they need from all the tax that is being generated.  Even the poor pay tax in VAT on what goods they can manage to pay for.

In Domestic violence the violent perpetrator will financially cripple his victim. This is well known in published papers, reports and books on the subject.  Yet the DWP and the Local Council are failing to recognise this and help victims of this crime with financial support.  Instead we are being hounded for said debts that are not our debts but a System Failure debts... Benefit caps mean out of the precious little women receive they have to pay a sum back to the council in rent and council tax. Yesterday in the Women's group we heard of one of our women victims being evicted...

This is not the society I or my ancestors fought for... I had pride in my tax contributions in my working years to know it goes for service provision for those in need of help, and to be there when I needed help! But today with the horrendous and quite shameful policies of this government I am ashamed of my motherland....

It is like we are sliding back 200 yrs into our history where the poor where seen as idle and incompetent... BUT in truth poverty is a diagnostic of a FAILED LEADERSHIP ... as a strong leader ensures all his or her citizens do not go without in life... That the Maslow Hierarchy of needs are met for harmonious creative life on this earth and to build strong communities based on compassion and care for one another.

This an example of what I am trying to handle as a domestic violence survivor at 63yrs unable to get my State Pension till 66yrs in 2020 - people happy to take my time as volunteer but no paid work offered me.. I build my own projects to help rebuild others lives that have been victims of violence in war and peace time.... but cannot get funding for those projects and to give me some financial dignity as I rebuild my life.   I am proactive this blog is also a sign of that proactivity.  You see I am my mothers daughter... I cannot and will not rest until we have fairness and justice in this land of my ancestors... where there is compassion for those in need of help... not demonising and hounding those in need and labelling them as Cameron did as the "Something for nothing" brigade! rather an irony when many Tories have their wealth from hand me downs over generations!!!

it is quite frankly obscene to hound and hassle the poor like this... it obscene and hypocritical in a said Christian country this is happening ... where is our Lords teaching in this?  All world religions carry the same message of selfless love for one another in compassion for all creation...

Where is the message in our politics and policies that does this to women in need of help and rebuilding their lives after violence and abuse upon them

And please where is the £20 million that government said they were putting into helping women that have suffered domestic violence... as there is NO EVIDENCE of this on the front-line....

Time to have Time with John

This photo was caught without John aware as you can you see.... he is deeply engaged with the constituent that is bringing a problem to his attention.  John is a listening MP and is engaged fully with this problem and concerned... When we hurt he hurts - he is committed to easing social pain and injustice from badly written policies by this Tory government that have no idea what it is like to be on the front-line...  A good commander always is in tune with the front-line!! John will always act on the front-line needs... this is why we vote for him...!!
Time to sit with John McDonnell my MP and Shadow Chancellor, to update on the cases that are being brought to my attention in the London Borough of Hillingdon. I was in the women's group today and we are shocked that one of our women has been evicted - so with all the pain of her domestic violence she is now homeless... This is appalling and a gross neglect of State Duty of Care to UN directives for women needing help after violence in war and peace time.  I had another young woman that lives near me knock on my door with DV history and she was really down with not enough money... I only saw her the other day too drawing out £20 she said was to pay the council tax demands on her.. So not for food but bills and demands..... Then have another case of a woman with history of rape in her violence and she has been hassled by bailiffs, she is going through the menopause and is depressed, quite frankly I am worried about her. Thank God she came to the group counselling and we have arranged to meet up with another group on Saturday to have some woman support time together.   This is mega serious readers ... I need my petition to go viral as the problems are already viral as what I am seeing are snapshots of the whole in this nation....  the PM says she is putting money into to help for women with DV history BUT it is NOT getting to the front-line.. so we need to challenge this as where is this money going if anywhere, why are local authorities not claiming funds to help their citizens in their area?  Women's voices to be heard as this is not right and perverse....
Help me to help that voice be loud and clear with my petition and my appeal to help women Many thanks Marjorie

This is reality of front-line

This is the reality of being on the front-line as a Domestic Violence survivor that has lost her career and no paid work.. The criminal violent perpetrator "husband" (seems impossible to put that title to such a criminal... ) left me penniless...  A 63yrs old born in 1954 so forbidden her State Pension with new retirement age.... I am proactive as you know trying my best to rebuild my life and others... have concerns for domestic and international issues but no funding no paid post..... Tell me where are the thousands and thousand of pounds the newspapers say benefit claimants get as I cannot get this they say... The strange thing is 1. I have worked and paid taxes since 1969.... and 2. they say you can have £16,000 in saving and still claim benefits... I do not have any savings so anything I try to do to better myself is taken from me not helping me... I get only £15 a week from my NHS pension.... so instead of this being extra the DWP adjusts my weekly payments to keep me to "by law poor must live of £73.10 a week" and out of that pay benefit cap, council tax cap and pay bills and food... Think about this when you are at the cashtill in the supermarket and see this really is not much... but from the letter seems I will only get £44.94 a week... You can see if you are in depression from post traumatic stress you could easily give up.... and I do have exhaustion to feel just curl up and die ...but not I ... for I am my mothers daughter I will not give up as just as she I will fight for injustice and this is not fair treating women survivors of domestic violence like this! It is perverse... and not the kind of society I want my country to have.. A Society without Compassion ceases to be a Society.... Women's voices need to be heard....
Help me to help that voice be loud and clear with my petition and my appeal to help women Many thanks Marjorie
